My husband and I like to have little mini holidays a few times a year. Get a hotel room, eat at our favourite joints, meet up with friends, and drink. Drink a lot. So we used Valentine’s Day weekend as the perfect excuse to enjoy some old haunts and some new digs. But first, we needed to have lunch at Big Star. I needed to try a Paloma {which turned into more than one Paloma}, as it was listed in Chicago mag’s 20 Best Cocktails. Lunazul Blanco, grapefruit, lime and Mexican Fresca. And while the pork belly tacos were completely divine, I have to give this round to Hubby…who claimed the Tacos de Pescado were the best fish tacos he’s ever had. Beer battered tilapia, chipotle mayo, cabbage, cilantro and lime. Oh baby, I concur. {I concurred a couple of times.}
